To help insure that your project flows through our Pre-press department as quickly and cost effectively as possible, we have put together some useful information.

• Adobe Illustrator for vector graphics
• Macromedia Freehand for vector graphics
• Adobe Photoshop for raster graphics
  We support both Mac and Intel platforms

We do support the programs listed above on the PC platform; however, there is a good possibility of additional prepress charges. Substantial prepress charges will definitely apply and more production time will be needed if the following programs are used: MS Word for PC or Corel for PC. These programs are not conducive to fast turn around type work.

All linked files and all fonts (screen and printer) used in your file are required. Avoid embedding graphics in Pagemaker, Freehand, and Illustrator.

Any supplied scans should be at a resolution of 300dpi and at 100% (actual printing size). We suggest all scans be converted to CMYK. Please remove any extra layers and/or channels from your Photoshop documents before placing them in your layout program. We recommend outlining fonts in Illustrator and Freehand files. PDF's are always a good option.

If possible, the use of Markzware Flightcheck software to troubleshoot your files before sending them is preferred. Note: there is an excellent tool in Flightcheck that collects all used graphics and used fonts and copies them to a single folder for you. We need a minimum of 1/8 inch bleed on all sides, crop marks and registration marks are highly recommended.
